Some of our frequently asked questions…
Q. What kind of electrical outlets are there? Do I need an adapter or converter?
A. Well Cottage is equipped with USB, USB-C, and UK plug outlets in each room and throughout the property. We provide international adapters for your convenience.
Please note that the UK operates on 230V electricity, which differs from the 110V standard in North America and some other regions. We recommend ensuring that your personal appliances—such as hair dryers, curling irons, and straighteners—are multi-voltage compatible. Most modern electronics and phone chargers are dual voltage, but heating appliances often require verification before use to avoid damage.
Can I use my CPAP machine or other medical equipment?
Q. Absolutely. You are welcome to bring your CPAP machine or any other necessary medical equipment. We will provide distilled water for your CPAP throughout your stay—there’s no need to pack or purchase it yourself. A US-to-UK adapter is all you’ll need to operate your machine safely, and we’re happy to provide one if required.
