Wells & Glastonbury

Wells is England’s smallest city lying at the foot of the Mendip Hills. It’s home to a spectacular cathedral, adjacent to the Bishop’s Palace, the home of the bishop of Bath and Wells, with its moat and drawbridge, and also Vicar’s Close, the oldest and one of the prettiest residential streets in Europe. The cathedral also is home to the worlds oldest working clock.

On the way home you can visit Glastonbury, the resting place of the great King Arthur in the ruined abbey. A walk up the eclectic high street and/or a hike up the Glastonbury Tor can also be done here.
